About Dr. Aurigemma
Dr. Aurigemma was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He was graduated with the degree of Doctor of Medicine and Surgery, Cum Laude, in 1975 from the University of Rome, Italy.
After completing a 3 year residency in Family Medicine at the Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, a 1000-bed teaching hospital in Brooklyn, NY, he spent the next 8 years as a board-certified family physician practicing conventional family medicine, as well as consulting for the National Aeronautical Space Agency (NASA), the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., and other industrial corporations. He also did extensive emergency room services, was attending physician at 3 community hospitals, was a Clinical Instructor at the Brookhaven Hospital Medical Center on Long Island, where he taught and supervised medical students and medical residents, Clinical Instructor at Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, NY, where he taught and supervised Registered Nurse Practitioners.
Dr. Aurigemma began his studies in Homeopathy after observing how Homeopathic medicines effected a remarkable and rapid improvement in a close friend, whose chronic ailment had resisted conventional medical and surgical treatment for many years. This mode of holistic treatment fit so well with Dr. Aurigemma's training and philosophy that he began to study Homeopathy with physicians affiliated with the National Center for Homeopathy in Washington, D.C., going on to further studies with physicians in New York City, Argentina and Greece.
Dr. Aurigemma has practiced Homeopathic Medicine full-time since 1985, effectively and safely treating many thousands of patients using Homeopathic remedies and a holistic approach.
Dr. Aurigemma currently practices in New York, NY, and is a Vice President of the Homeopathic Medical Society of the State of New York. He has taught medical students from the Department of Family Medicine at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and currently teaches as a Clinical Instructor at the New York College of Medicine in Valhalla, NY. He regularly attends both conventional and Homeopathic medical conferences and seminars to keep current in both fields.
